Finch Woodworks is a full service, custom woodwork and timber frame designer & builder located in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
While we provide custom woodwork of all kinds (furniture, stairs and handrailing, etc.), we primarily design, engineer and build traditionally joined (pegged, mortise and tenon) structures, both classical and modern, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, precision and the celebration of the unique characteristics of wood.
I work with owners and/or architects early in the design process to help define the wide possibilities of timber frame designs and methods and how they relate to the rest of the structure/program. We specialize in taking a concept to fully engineered shop drawings for contract and construction.
