C. Scott Woody makes his home in Weaverville, N.C. Scott utilizes fallen wood that has undergone spalting – the actions of decay (bacteria, fungus, insects, and weather), and uses the creative patterns of Mother Nature’s actions to fashion one of a kind art pieces. His most unique pieces are the book matched butterflies. His most unique pieces are the book matched butterflies. Scott uses only found or recycled/reclaimed material including fallen trees/branches/firewood, copper wiring, and various plywoods and boards.
